Application and Brief Description

The Medium Voltage Circuit Analyser was designed for a quick analysis of electricity meters measuring circuits without necessity of any disconnections. Both the primary and the secondary of the transformer can be simultaneously analysed, for which, along with the current clamps for 100 A and 100 A, high voltage current and voltage sensors, all electronically compensated, are provided with the instrument.

The meter’s error is calculated with the help of a scanning head. The instrument measures simultaneously three voltages, three primary and three secondary currents, and can calculate the error of the meter self, as well as the error of the entire measuring system meter + instrument transformers. Furthermore, the turn ratios of the voltage and current transformers can be measured and their error can be calculated. The circuit analysis includes also real time drawing of the phasor diagram, indication of powers, power factor, harmonic contents, etc. All the measurements quoted are memorized in a non-volatile memory of 100 measurement sites capacity, and can be recalled or transferred to a computer by means of a USB.
