PL 100/3SThree-Phase Electronic Phantom Load

The three-phase phantom load PL 100/ 3 S is an electronic device which generates three-phase voltages and currents. The amplitude, phase and frequency of the generated signals is adjusted via a keyboard with high accuracy. The device can be controlled also from a computer via RS 232.

The phantom load is used together with reference energy standard for testing of electricity meters on site or in a laboratory. The actual values of voltage, current, phase, frequency, active and reactive power are indicated on a second screen. This is an advantage when transducers of voltage, current, power, etc. are tested with the load.

An overload and temperature protections are used for the output amplifiers.

The values of the generated signals could be adjusted very quickly with the help of memorized tables and specialized keys.

The phantom load PL 100/ 3 S has a very good stability and reliability.

Functions

Third screen - programming of tables

This screen is similar to the first one. The difference is that the preset parameters can be memorized in the table under code number from 01 to 99.

Second screen - measurements

The actual values of voltage, current, phase, frequency, active and reactive power, generated by the load, are indicated on this screen. The measurements are in real time and are changed in every two seconds.

Main screen - preset of parameters

All the values for voltage, current, phase, frequency, sequence of phases are preset by the operator with the help of the keyboard on this screen. Each phase for voltage or current could be switched off.

The operator can change the load for three-wire or four-wire connection.

When three-wire connection has been chosen, then current I 2 is not generated and the voltage is preset with phase - to - phase values.

All the parameters of the load could be called from a table with number 01 to 99.

When the preset parameters are achieved after start, then a sign [ * ] is indicated on the screen.

Features

PL 100/ 3 S is a fully electronic device and is powered from a mono-phase voltage.

The amplitude and dephasing of the generated signals can be adjusted separately for each phase from the keyboard. These parameters can be changed also when the load has started the generation.

The phase sequence and frequency can also be changed, but only when the generation is stopped.

100 tables with the content of output parameters can be memorized in a non-volatile memory.

There is a specialized button on the keyboard for a quick set of phase (cos f = 1, 0.5 i, 0.8 c).

The load is fully controlled from a computer via RS 232. Signals with a preset percentage of odd harmonics can be generated by the load when working with a computer.

There is a specialized input "DOSE" on the front panel, via which the load is started and stopped from the energy standard in order to check the registers of the electricity meters.

The true values of voltage, current, phase, frequency, active power and reactive power are indicated on a second screen.

Overload and temperature protections are provisioned for the output boosters of the load.
